Wool Sales Catalogue 13/25

The 2025/26 wool selling season continued this week, with the 13th sale of the season taking place.

A large volume of 12 940 bales was on offer, after 790 bales were withdrawn prior to the sale. Almost 65% of the offering consisting of fine micron, long length wools, with sustainably certified wools only comprising 46,1% of the merino wools offered.

The market started of strong, but retracted somewhat later in trade on the second day, still delivering good results and achieving an overall sales clearance of 94,9%.

The all-merino indicator increased by 1,5% to close on R206,45 p/kg and the certified indicator rose by 1% to close on R211,10 p/kg.

A highest price of R285,12 p/kg (clean) was paid for a 2-bale lot of 15,9-micron merino fleece wools.

The Australian market also had a strong performance this week and gained 3,8% (AU$), compared to their previous action held on Wednesday, 12 November.

The major buyers on this weeks sale were BKB Pinnacle Fibres (3 081), G Modiano SA (2 622), Standard Wool SA (2 164) and Tanyu SA (2 096).

The next sale will be held on 26 November 2025 when approximately 13 800 bales will be on offer.
